One night in 1991 on a train going to Berlin, an American and an Italian started a special friendship that would last for 30 years.

These women would only see each other once more in 1995, and then never again - even to this day.

In the summer of 2019, the American woman's daughter traveled to Italy and stayed with the Italian woman's family, meeting her sons in a full circle moment.

It wasn't until that summer that the American and Italian FaceTimed for the first time, seeing each other through the screen after 25+ years.

Despite all the obstacles of distance and language, this friendship only grew.
